Michel Morelli Artist

Michel Morelli has an eye for design. Perhaps it is more accurate to say his whole being is design, as this is what defined his award-winning career of more than 40 years.

First trained in architecture, then industrial design, he founded Morelli Designers in 1981, going on to guide the creation of thousands of products and projects. From urban furniture and lighting to children's toys and kitchenware - always functional, always singularly stylish - and passenger trains in San Francisco, the Gaspesie, and the Rocky Mountains ride amidst Morelli design.

Today, Michel Morelli applies his generous skills to art. As in his industrial career, the scope of his curiosity and ability to work with a range of materials is vast. Inspired by both nature and urban life, he explores pottery, jewellery, found objects, paint and sculpture, and collage. The results are poetic and contemporary, offered here for you to explore.
